Founded in 1985, J.M. Tours Ltd. is a Tanzania-based safari company built on a deep love for travel, culture, and authentic experiences. Based in Arusha, the company was founded by Joshua Mushendwa from Bukoba near Lake Victoria, together with Barbro Finskas Mushendwa from the small village of Jeppo in Western Finland.

What began as a shared vision between two people from completely different parts of the world grew into a trusted safari company dedicated to creating meaningful journeys across Tanzania. The name “J.M.” comes from Joshua Mushendwa — a reflection of the personal story and passion behind the brand.

Today, J.M. Tours continues to craft unforgettable safari experiences with a focus on authenticity, connection, and responsible travel.
